GGBOYS Guard Browser Extension Privacy Policy

This policy explains what the GGBOYS Guard browser extension ("the Extension") reads, stores and sends, and why. It applies only to the Extension. The GGBOYS website has its own Privacy Policy at ggboys.com/privacy.
1. What the Extension is for
The Extension is the official companion of ggboys.com, a CS2 skin marketplace. Its single purpose is to let you manage CS2 item trades from your own browser: sync your Steam inventory, create or accept Steam trade offers for GGBOYS orders, and report the state of those offers back to ggboys.com so orders settle automatically.
2. Data the Extension processes
(a) Steam identity: your SteamID64 and Steam display name, read from the Steam session already logged in on this browser. Used to match your inventory and offers to your GGBOYS account.
(b) Steam session: requests to steamcommunity.com and api.steampowered.com are sent with the Steam cookies of this browser, exactly as when you use Steam yourself. A short-lived Steam access token is cached locally to query trade offer status; it is deleted automatically when Steam rejects it. The Extension never asks for, reads or transmits your Steam password or Steam Guard codes.
(c) Inventory content: the list of CS2 items in your public Steam inventory (item name, asset ID, wear, pattern, stickers, tradability and protection dates). A snapshot is uploaded to ggboys.com so your listings and Skin Pass holdings stay accurate.
(d) Trade activity: the trade offers the Extension creates or accepts for GGBOYS orders and their state (sent, accepted, declined, expired, cancelled). This is reported to ggboys.com to settle orders and protection periods.
(e) Page data on Steam: on Steam market listing, inventory and trade-offer pages the Extension reads item data on the page to display float and pattern information. This data stays in your browser.
3. Data stored on your device
The Extension stores only: your Steam display name, the asset IDs of the last synced inventory, your display theme, and the cached Steam access token. All of it is kept in the browser's extension storage and is removed when you uninstall the Extension.
4. Where data is sent
The Extension communicates only with: steamcommunity.com and api.steampowered.com (Steam), and ggboys.com and its API sub-domains. It contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code, and it does not download or execute code from the internet. Data sent to ggboys.com is processed under the GGBOYS website Privacy Policy.
5. Data we do not collect
The Extension does not collect your browsing history, the content of other websites, your location, health or financial information, or personal communications. It does not read cookies of any site other than through the Steam and GGBOYS requests described above.
6. Sharing
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties except Steam (to perform the trade actions you request) and the service providers that host ggboys.com. We do not use it for advertising, credit-worthiness or lending purposes.
7. Your controls
You can revoke the Extension's access at any time by uninstalling it from chrome://extensions, which deletes all locally stored data. Logging out of Steam in this browser stops the Extension from acting on your Steam account. Data already held by ggboys.com can be managed under your GGBOYS account settings.
8. Changes
We may update this policy when the Extension changes. The date at the top shows the current version; material changes are announced on ggboys.com.
