GGBOYS Guard is a Chrome extension published by GGBOYS. It only talks to ggboys.com and Steam; it never asks for your Steam password.

1. Open the GGBOYS Guard page in the Chrome Web Store: GGBOYS Guard on the Chrome Web Store
2. Click Add to Chrome, then click Add extension in the dialog that pops up.
3. Pin GGBOYS Guard to the toolbar (puzzle icon → pin).
4. Come back to GGBOYS and refresh the page, so pages that need the extension can detect it.

The Chrome Web Store version updates by itself, and you do not need to turn on Developer mode.

Do these once. Every later trade depends on them.

1. Open the extension popup. It uses the same GGBOYS sign-in as the website: if the top of the popup shows that you are not signed in, press the sign-in button there and sign in to GGBOYS with your Steam account. Also stay signed in to steamcommunity.com in this browser, because offers are sent through that Steam session.
2. Make sure your Steam trade URL is saved in your GGBOYS profile and your Steam inventory is public.
3. Have the Steam mobile authenticator enabled on your phone — every outgoing trade offer must be confirmed there.
4. Keep the browser with the extension open while an order is in progress; the offer is created from it.

After the buyer pays, the order timeline shows Seller Sends Trade Offer and you get a notification.

1. Click the GGBOYS Guard icon in the toolbar.
2. In the Pending Shipment card (called “Market · To ship” in newer versions), find the order and click Confirm. Several orders to the same buyer can be sent together with Confirm All — they are merged into one Steam offer.
3. The button turns Sending… and then Shipping…. Open the Steam mobile authenticator and confirm the offer.
4. The timeline moves to Seller Mobile Confirmation. When the buyer accepts, the order enters the protection period and later becomes Trade Verified.

After the seller ships, the timeline shows Buyer Accepts Trade and you get a notification.

1. Click the GGBOYS Guard icon in the toolbar.
2. In the Pending Receive card (called “Market · To receive” in newer versions), click Accept. Several items can be accepted with Accept All; items that arrive in one Steam offer are grouped into a single row and accepted with one click.
3. After the protection period the order becomes Trade Verified automatically.

Optional: auto-accept

In your profile you can turn on Auto Accept. It only works while the extension is installed, that browser is signed in to both GGBOYS and steamcommunity.com, and the browser stays open.

Returning a rental

1. On the order page click Return and confirm the return.
2. Open the GGBOYS Guard popup, find the rental in the Pending Return card (called “Rental · To return” in newer versions) and click Return, then confirm in the Steam mobile authenticator.
3. The owner accepts the offer; GGBOYS verifies the return and releases everything automatically.

Skin Pass: receiving a claimed skin

1. After you claim a skin, GGBOYS sends you a Steam offer. Accept it in the Skin Pass · To receive card of the extension, or directly in Steam.
2. If the timeline does not update by itself, click Confirm received on the Skin Pass page.

Skin Pass: returning skins

1. On the Skin Pass page choose the skins to return and click Return; a return record opens with a deadline.
2. On the Skin Pass page, under My skins, hover over the skin and press Return — GGBOYS Guard then builds the offer. If it did not go out, hover the same card and press Send again (or press Send return offer in the Skin Pass · To return card of the extension popup), then confirm in the Steam mobile authenticator.
3. GGBOYS accepts the offer and verifies the return; your allowance is released as soon as the items are back.

To switch to a different skin, return the one you hold first; you can claim again once the return arrives.

The extension popup shows “Login to view” or “Sign in to GGBOYS to view”.

The extension cannot see your GGBOYS sign-in. Press the sign-in button at the top of the popup and sign in with your Steam account. It is the same sign-in as the website. Then open the popup again.

The order says the sender’s Steam account is unavailable and asks you to accept on the website.

Accept the offer directly in Steam or on the order page instead of the extension.

The offer cannot be sent.

Most often the receiving side has an invalid trade URL or a restricted Steam account — ask them to check their profile.

The timeline does not move.

The browser with the extension must stay open; the offer is created and watched from it.

An item shows as not tradable.

It is in a Steam trade cooldown or protection period. Open the extension and run a sync once; the date shows on the item.

The extension is installed but the page still says it is missing.

Use the same browser profile where you installed it and reload the page once.
